Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program

On October 6, The Director of NCIE, Hayk Margarian visited the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs office to meet the Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program's participants from different countries.

The young Armenian leaders spent two weeks of practical and theoretical training with many lectures, workshops, and meetings to expand their views on Armenia's and Artsakh's political, social, economic, and other issues.

To support their greater involvement and community life through the transfer of knowledge and skills, the participants visited the state, scientific-educational, cultural, and technological institutions, and memorials. They participated in cultural events and met with industry leaders with expectations to establish contacts between different Diaspora communities and the youth from Armenia and Artsakh.

The National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship CEO, Hayk Margarian, emphasized the importance of being an active and representative member of their community and expanding their network through involvement in the Diaspora-Armenia relations. He stated that Diaspora communities are welcome to cooperate with our center, whose main goal activities are the formation and implementation of effective technology transfer mechanisms, the support, and consultation of businesses (including small and medium enterprises), along with the provision of scientific and technical information and library services.

Throughout the rest of the year, the participants will conduct community and inter-community meetings in their countries to exchange the knowledge and skills they have acquired during the training. Moreover, they must prepare publications and informative activities related to the High Commissionaire of Diaspora Affairs' Office and other Armenian programs on social media platforms.

This year, 60 young Diaspora applied to the program, of which 20 from 12 countries were selected to participate. The participants are from the USA, India, the UAE, Germany, Belgium, Syria, Spain, France, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan.
