The National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy of The Republic of Armenia is a non-profit organization with legal entity status. By decision No. 454-N of April 23, 2009, of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the state non-commercial organization was created with an approved charter. The organization has four branches within Armenia (Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Hrazdan and Kapan).
The primary goal of the organization’s activities are
- The formation and implementation of effective technology transfer mechanisms
- Providing of support and advice to businesses (including small and medium enterprises)
- Providing of scientific and technical information and library services.
The Government of the Republic of Armenia underlines the importance of the development of a knowledge-based economy, supporting entrepreneurship as well as strengthening the connection between science and economy and the application of scientific and innovative results in the economy, provides the promotion of innovation and scientific entrepreneurship through the Organization and provides support mechanisms.
Within the framework of the resolution N 12224-L of the Government of the Republic of RA dated August 4, 2022, the Organization is responsible for attracting highly qualified specialists of different fields to work in the private and public sectors of The Republic of Armenia, with hopes of increasing the productivity of companies operating in this territory.
