Technology Transfer Office
With the increasing recognition and influence of science on a country’s economic growth, NCIE will be opening the first governmental technology transfer office to manage and protect the intellectual property of the scientific organizations of Armenia, such as universities, research organizations, and entrepreneurship centers.
The primary goal of our Center is to encourage and assist technology development in Armenia by facilitating the transfer of intellectual property to business and industry. The commercialization of the research-based results of scientists and entrepreneurs through licensing and patenting will enhance Armenia’s economic development by building strong ties between the public and private sectors, with compromising academic principles.
Businesses, life-saving technologies, and consumer products were all created due to the inventions licensed with the help of technology transfer offices. Thus, we are working to develop a successful transition from innovation to new enterprise, manage the invention disclosures and protect the high-risk discoveries of Armenian scientists.
Why would researchers want to participate in the technology transfer process?
- Achieving recognition and financial rewards
- Making a positive impact on the society
- Creating educational opportunities for students
- Linking students to future job opportunities
