Hi everyone, my name’s Peter Mitchell (or Petros as I like to be called in Armenia), and I’m an Australian citizen who’s called Armenia home for the past 8 years. My wife is Armenian, and we decided to leave Australia to see what we could do to help Armenia all those years ago.

My background is in the police and health care sectors, and in mid-2021, I was asked by Hayk Margarian (the newly appointed Director of NCIE) if I’d agree to be the Head of the “Brain Gain concept” in the completely restructured version of NCIE. Despite feeling unworthy of such a position, I humbly accepted his offer and promise to do everything in my power to attract expertise, experience, and world-best practices from diaspora Armenians and non-Armenian professionals to come and help develop our nation.

I love Armenia very much and look forward to hearing from anyone interested in coming to Armenia to live and work.
