NCIE members participated in the Yerevan Tech Forum, the annual IT event on May 21st, 2022, at Sndukyan State Academic Theatre. The Skills Marketing agency organized the event, and the official partner of the Forum was the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia.
The Forum brought together companies & professionals in the tech sphere, creative industry & HR, aiming to provide participants with a platform to come together and discuss threats & opportunities of the industry in a rapidly changing world. More than 25 speakers and 30 companies took part in the event, which was developed around key topics such as Technologies in the modern world, Digital State and Digital Power, the Value of data quality, and corporate management in an ever-changing environment.
Viva-MTS General Manager, Ralph Yirikian, highlighted the importance and necessity for businesses to overcome various challenges as the pace of the digital transformation has been accelerated by Covid-19. Any company that ignores risk factors and cannot identify international trends and growth opportunities will do so at its own risk”, said Yirikian.
As numerous small and big companies relocated to Armenia, the key panel discussions were focused on Yerevan as the capital of the new tech cluster, the tech job market of Armenia in terms of two communities (local and relocated), and the future of the startup ecosystem and investments in turbulent times. The Minister of Economy of RA, Vahan Kerobyan, and the Mayor of Yerevan, Hrachya Sargsyan, also delivered some remarks at the panel discussions.
