On November 23, 2021, several representatives from NCIE attended the third roundtable discussion held by American Councils for International Education Armenia in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Yerevan: «Connecting Champions of Workforce Development.»
The roundtable’s topic was Armenian Start-up and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. It aimed to bring together champions from various sectors to define the opportunities and pressing needs of 21st-century workforce development.
Hayk Margarian gave a brief presentation of NCIE’s function and projects, and the Entrepreneurship Advisor, Grachia Margarian, spoke about NCIE’s Unified Multifunctional Center for Business. During the Workshop, we brainstormed existing problems and innovative solutions relating to the current Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in the regions and Yerevan. Participants shared their great ideas and recommendations, which we can implement in our Center.
The series of roundtables are part of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan-funded project: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Networking Fund. The cross-cutting goal is to ensure that Alumni of U.S. government exchanges can continue to contribute to the ever-changing needs of the workforce, entrepreneurial activity, and higher education in Armenia.
