On May 16, 2022, NCIE welcomed the General Director of Kurdistan Regional Government - Iraq Board of Investment, Mr. Aziz Saeed Rashid, the Chairman of the Kurdistan Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Seerwan Mohamaed Hawai, and the Consulate General of RA in Kurdistan, Arshak Manoukian.
They discussed potential joint investment programs contributing to the countries’ growth and development. The investments will provide the transfer of knowledge, technology, and innovation into several economic sectors in Armenia and the joint countries, aiming to create a stronger and more diversified economy.
NCIE Director, Hayk Margarian, presented the structure of our center and our three scopes of activities: The first governmental Technology Transfer Office to help commercialize innovations, technologies, and scientific research connecting scientists and inventors with business, the Multifunctional Business Support Centre, and the Digital Transformation of the Private Sector to raise digital maturity and compete effectively in a post-pandemic digital economy. They considered developing bilateral relations between Armenia and the Kurdistan Region, by emphasizing bilateral trade, promoting joint ventures, and developing business partnerships by providing technical expertise to accelerate the latest developments in Iraq and the region.
