On the 13th of April, 2022, NCIE took part in the “Packaging Waste Management Assessment and Guide to Extending Producer System” survey results presentation organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (CIS).
The presentation titled “Packaging Waste Management Assessment and a guide to set up packaging waste management system in Armenia based on the principle of EPR” was made by Kyriakos Prpunas, the Managing Director of “Parpunas Systems Consultancy” which was followed by questions and suggestions.
Representatives of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, international organizations, and representatives from other leading businesses were invited to the discussion to introduce the principle of extended responsibility of the producer of sustainable waste management in Armenia.
The Deputy Minister of Environment, Anna Mazmanyan, made a closing speech highlighting the importance of the dialogue between the private and public sectors for having a sustainable waste management system.
